United Healthcare Student Resources

I was given the opportunity to Write about this campaign with Momselect and UnitedHealthcare StudentResources, www.K12StudentInsurance.com, a division of UnitedHealthcare Insurance Company, who has been dedicated to student insurance programs for over 40 years.  Because UHCSR focuses on students, they have a better understanding of the unique needs of this age group (children 5-18 years old).

If your student does not have health coverage, or your paying too much, this is a great opportunity for you.

Some Great information you need to know about United Healthcare Student Resources:

The plan offers coverage for when your sick or injured anytime. 24/7 all year long.

The United Healthcare Student Resources program is only available through many participating school districts and participating private schools. Nationally available through schools that belong to the Association of Christian  Schools International.

It is available for students K-12 grade and ages 5-18(ages 4-18 in Texas)

The healthcare is designed to be affordable at only $588 a year, or $98 every two months. Plus you can enroll your student at any time during the School Year.

I’m really excited to hear abut this great plan, with the economy being bad, and tons of people without  insurance, this is a great way to get students the health coverage, shots they need for school.

Right now my daughter is barely starting preschool, but if this offer is still available in the future i would love to get my children enrolled. Finally

Thanks to mom select and United Healthcare for this opportunity. I am being compensated for this post.

Stride Rite Shoes Review

The Stride RiteChildren’s Group, the leading provider of premier children’s footwear, announced today the launch of a new collection of baby shoes with patent-pending Sensory Response Technology(SRT). This revolutionary children’s footwear technology, developed in conjunction with the Leon Root, M.D. Motion Analysis Laboratory at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York, improves the way a child learns to walk via a sensory feedback system, an ultra-flexible design that allows for more freedom of movement, and a unique construction that reduces the number of stumbles and falls.

Shoes in the SRT collection are also designed to make baby comfortable. They feature moisture-wicking linings, which help keep baby’s feet drier longer, and eco-friendly materials such as a recycled EVA heel cup and a partially recycled outsole to protect baby and baby’s future environment. A great feature for mom and dad is a removable insole containing a Fit Check system that easily lets them know when it is time to see a fit specialist.

The fall SRT collection is comprised of four boys’ styles and seven girls’ styles in baby sizes 3 to 8 in various widths, and features fun fashion touches such as suede fringe, metallic leathers and bright hits of color.

I have not received my shoes for review yet, so i’m going to share a little first steps story.

My daughter started walking at 14 months, and having shoes on her actually helped her to balance herself more.  I remember her being in the playpen, and we’d glance over and see her go from one side to the other without holding on. She would never do it when we looked though. We took her to the zoo two days after she officially took off, and she just went wild running from exhibit to exhibit.

ah memories!

Pillsbury Bake Off

I’m really late on this post, my package got lost in the mail several times.

I see all these wonderful ladies in the blogosphere talk about their homemade recipes, and things made from scratch. I think to myself, I really wish I could cook like that, they should enter contests and see if their recipes can jumpstart their career.

Pillsbury Holds a contest every two years for people to submit their recipes, and the winner can win a big prize. The competition for thsi year was held in April, and  Judges  selected 20 recipes to be placed online at www.bakeoff.com in pairs for a period of two weeks for each pair. Consumers can vote for their favorite recipe in each pair. The recipe from each pair that wins the most votes will earn a spot in the final competition, April 11-13, 2010, in Orlando FL.

Voting is limited to one vote per person for each pairing of recipes. to vote you must be registered on www.pillsbury.com  and be 18 yrs of age by May 1, 2009 to participate.

The first pair of recipes was posted on May 14, and a new pair of recipes will be posted every 2 weeks.  The voting period for the final tenth recipe will end on Oct. 1, 2009

Here is a video featuring Jann Atkis, Bake Off Assistant Kitchen manager showing you how to evaluate recipes.

Anna Ginsberg, a stay-at-home mom who you might know from her blog, Cookie Madness, earned the $1 million prize for her Baked Chicken and Spinach Stuffing in the 42nd Pillsbury Bake-Off Contest. At the 2004 competition, the 41st Contest, former librarian wrote her own page in history by capturing the top prize with her Oats ‘n Honey Granola Pie recipe. Inspired by pecan pie, Conrad adapted a family-favorite pie and caught the judges’ attention with its wonderful flavor and simple preparation.

I recieved a copy of the book, and immediately my kids were attracted to it.  They kept asking who all the charcters were, since we don’t see Looney Tunes on T.V very much any more.  I read the book to them and now they want to do everything baby Bugs, Taz and Tweety are doing.

I’m participating In the WB Family and recieved a free book.
