How i think my kids are eating healthy at school

My daughter is only preschool age.  They will feed you breakfast and lunch. I don’t sit in, so I don’t know what they eat, but i make it a point to ask. Usually its the basics, milk, sandwich , apple, sometimes spagetti or stew.

The main problem I have is my daughter is very picky and usually doesn’t eat her lunch at school.  So i have to rush when i pick her up to feed her too. She usually only eats a Pb&j sandwich or a lunch meat.

My daughters favorite snacks are  Fruit, cheese and crackers, and yogurt.

Looney tunes eating right with kids

182805a474_Eating_Right_Kids_LogoAs a mom I always try to make sure my kids eat healthy.  With school starting that becomes even harder. I know growing up my parents always gave me money for lunch, i hated cafeteria food, so I would eat at the snack bar. I don’t want my kids to eat that way daily. So I am taking time every morning to pack their lunches.

Even better Safeway has teamed up with Warner Bros. Luney Tunes to create Eating Right Kids. With meals, snacks, cereals and drinks that kids will love- and parents will feel good about.

My kids of course loved the apple juice, The cheese ravioli not so much. We are not big ravioli fans. they loved the chocolate chewy bar! the lunch tote is so cute, perfect for the little ones.

Thanks to team mom for this opportunity

Saving on style for the kids

If I see a great bargain, i’ll but it. Even if the clothes won’t fit my kids for a year or so. They grow so fast, and usually you won’t find great  bargains like that. Yesterday I found Disney baseball caps and even full summer outfits for $1.00 a piece. stocked up. My son is only twenty months and i bought outfits all the way up to 3T. He’ll be there soon, so why not.

I love shopping at outlets and thrift stores for my kids, you find amazing deals, brand names, and great styles.  I know when people think thrift store, you think used, cheap. Actually a lot of the clothes are gently used, and I’ve even found clothes that are brandnew with the tags still on.

I try and teach my children about saving money.  I always tell them that you should always try to hit the clearance rac first, toI’ve also taught them that name isn’t everything. its quality and price that really matters.

I have to admit that I am really bad about shopping. I usually will buy kids clothes when i see a great bargain, if my kids need clothes or not.

Wow Wow Wubbzy: Wubbzy Goes Boo(giveaway)

Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!: Wubbzy Goes Boo

Product description: Grab your kookiest costume and head on down to Wuzzleburg for some ghoulish fun in the all new 70 minute  Halloween DVD.

This dvd has 5 spooky episodes

Wubbzy’s Magical Mess Up– When Moo Moo the Magician asks Wubbzy to watch his magical wand, Wubbzy loses control and soon monkeys, elephants and kickity kick balls are running wild! When he returns, establishing order, Wubbzy promises to practice more before he tries any more magic.

Tea for Three-Wubbzy decides to throw  a tea party, but he doesn’t know how. Widget builds a tea party machine, the Tea Time 3000, to make sandwiches and tea, but it malfunctions and does everything wrong.  They’re afraid the tea party was a disaster, but Wubbzy has been having a great time, and thats what a tea party is all about.

Monster Madness-Wubbzy gets scared by a TV show and starts seeing monsters everywhere! Widget build a monster masher to take care of any monsters, but soon she starts seeing monsters too! They rush to Walden’s house and Walden takes out his flashlight to show them all the monsters they saw were just ordinary objects in the dark.

The Last Leaf- Walden is collecting leaves, and he is waiting patiently for the last leaf to fall off the Old  Figgity Fig Tree. Wubbzy and Widget would rather play in the leaf pile. When they return, they find Walden fast asleep! And here comes the last leaf! As the wind takes it away, Wubbzy and Widget are left to chase the errant Leaf all over Wuzzleburg.

The Ghost of Wuzzleburg-It’s the Halloween party at the Wubb Club, and Wubbzy builds his own scary costume out of junk, and scares the party guests. While he’s hiding he notices a ghost sheet floating all by itself. It’s a real ghost! Then the sheet falls off and we see it was only birdy-bird. Birdy-Bird wins for most scariest costume, and Wubbzy wins for most scared person!

Plus there is a bonus episode

March of the Pumpkins-Wubbzy wants to find the biggest pumpkin, so he can be named Pumpkin King. But Walden and Widget warn him, look out for the real Pumpkin King! Before Wubbzy can get a pumpkin, the Pumpkin King catches them. Luckily he turns out to be a great guy, and he gives Wubbzy and daizy a ride back to the festival just in time for the big march!

***With Halloween just around the corner this movie is packed with scary fun for preschoolers. My Children enjoyed it very much.    Our favorite episode is Monster Madness. My daughter has been having night terrors, and with this episode I can show her that even Wubbzy gets scared, but it turns out to be nothing.   With Monsters, Ghosts, and Pumpkins  this DVD is packed with halloween fun!
